Incredible as always!
Great scenery
Very pretty coarse, lots of sand. Friendly and well organised as usual.
Really fun event and well organised.
I felt the communications (email) could have been sent earlier in advance rather than a couple of days before
Excellent event as usual. The Scenery at Bawsey Park is fantastic with blue sky today and shimmering lake.
Loved it
Such a good event, well organised and very good atmosphere. Cake and coffee at the end is such a great touch too. My first Ultra and I was made to feel really welcome.
An event that supports neurodiverse runners and offers vegan cake. Absolutely amazing to be welcomed and catered for.
Thank you for an amazing day today.
Both as a marshal and a runner, I loved it.
What an electric atmosphere!
First Zig Zag Running Event. Loved it. Mentally breaking down the laps was good for me.
Cafe and Coffee after was lovely and the discount code for the parking was top notch.
Beautiful
Beautiful place to run! Lovely people well organised
Challenging run
Great run, running on sand was challenging, some hills up and down, very good route.
Friendly, inclusive, well-organised fun.
Thank you so much, ZigZag, for a wonderful first running experience with you.
You were all SO welcoming! I could see that you kept the good variety of food and drink topped up all day which doesn't happen at some events. Your volunteers were all amazing - so encouraging. I liked the raffle draw at the start (even though I didn't win - it's a nice touch!).
The car park set up in the morning was ever so slightly confusing (we ended up having to re-park in the staff car park at the hospital and there was no token system as described in the race briefing pack - this isn't a complaint at all, just genuine feedback as I think some people ended up paying in the adjacent car park :) )
The race brief document was otherwise very helpful.
The medal is an absolute beast!
I will definitely run with you again and will recommend you to others too.
First time at a ZigZag event, would recommend them to fellow runners.
There did seem a lack of marshals stillout there for the ultra runners, we obviously know he route but with tiredness etc a few more marshals out there would be beneficial for any assistance.
I would recommend a few black bin bags on the course, there were few places for used gels and drink bottles etc to be disposed of unless you went off route which meant runners did drop them on the course.
Realy great atmosphere as usual
I also enjoyed volunteering this time
Friendly event for newbies to experienced runners
Yet another great event!!
always made to feel welcome, good selection of drinks and sweets to keep you going
Superb organisation.
Felt like I was with family and friends all round
Great atmosphere
This was my first Zig Zag Running event and my first half marathon. I thought that this was a really friendly and well organised event. I will definitely aim to attend another one.
It’s not just a bag of balls!!!
I love this type of event, because of the relaxed atmosphere, I can get very stressed about racing, but this format helps me overcome my battles and still achieve a half marathon distance.
Fabulous to run without race pressure. The organisers and marshals were so friendly and encouraging.
Having a massage later proved a valuable bonus.
Really happy with my medal bling
Loved the pic n mix and the cake selection
A very well run event with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere
Great event
Can’t fault the event organisation. I arrived early, and at the wrong time that had been booked (I hadn’t booked myself) and they swapped start times over without any issue.
Location was good, lovely route with great views (it was sunny so that always helps!!). The route was however though some wooded areas, paths, gravel paths and grass so there were a few trip hazards to watch out for and it wasn’t always smooth footing - something to be mindful of for runners that are only used to one type of terrain.
Facilities great, refreshment tent well stocked and there was building with toilets and somewhere to leave bags etc (at own risk).
Would definitely recommend this event, and will definitely be back!
