friendly, scenic fairly easy-going trail race
Won the 15k race - first time won in about 15 years. Only 12 entrants for that distance but as a 67yr old awaiting a hip replacement will take that! Very friendly and well organised thanks and the piper Last Post at 11am was very moving.

The event was very well managed! The marshals were great and really supportive. My wife and I were able to take part in both the 9am and 11am races, which worked perfectly as it meant we could take turns looking after our son.
The cake and hot drinks were 10/10, and the sweets station was a brilliant idea. The whole event felt very inclusive, with a fantastic, friendly crew throughout.
If I could suggest one small improvement, it would be to add a filter lane for finishers—if that’s possible. It’s only a minor thing though!
Lastly, the medal is the best one we’ve collected to date. Absolutely love it!

The whole team are incredible and super supportive. My first event with zig zag, my husband has done a few and will definitely be going back for more. I knew you needed your own cup for the aid station but I was amazed at the spread of snacks also available and there was coffee and cake at the end. Couldn't have ended the race any better!
