Beautiful scenic route. Undulating first half of marathon. Aid stations placed at equidistant intervals. Well signposted. Marshals and organising team, fantastic as usual

My first marathon, painful but beautiful course , well organised and very friendly and supportive.
I would say it's quite hilly - more hilly than I anticipated
Chris Bassett
Well organised and fab signage for the course.
Great day! Great event
A big thank you to the stewards on the last aid station for filling my drink bottles up and giving me a lift for the last section
John Clarke
Great undulating course with a very friendly atmosphere.

Great run, well organised, friendly atmosphere, fantastic scenary, definitely be back!
Enjoyed the 5km. This was an excellent event for multiple distances, with a very friendly atmosphere.
It was very well organised, and everyone was so friendly. The course had some lovely scenic views, always an added bonus while running. Definitely intend to return for more great events.

Very enjoyable
All good apart from one junction where the sign was not great and we did nearly miss the turning.

Amazing! Highly recommend to anyone

A Picturesque Marathon
A very tough course on the legs if you aren't prepared for some heavy hills. Scenery was exceptional however!
Event was well sign posted for which direction to head with aid stations had a good distance apart from one another.
A great one to do if you're looking for a challenge!
Nicholas King
fantastic route, hilly but quiet scenic country roads
Xlnt low key registration and start and finish. Course is quite hilly but a great training run. Everyone very friendly yet efficient, the water tables were well-stocked and welcoming. One minor issue was direction arrows not always reliable. Would highly recommend ofr first timers as no mad crowds and stress! Thanks a mil Zig Zag, we will be back!

Lovely scenery. I have done Golding Hills on many occasions and the views never fail to disappoint. Also heard the first cuckoo of the season.
Paul Mitchell
Lovely experience and stress free , well organised
Nice meddle and lovely cake at the end
A Well Organised and Friendly Marathon Experience with Great Scenery!
I ran The Other Run marathon in April and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Zig Zag Running put on a brilliantly organised event — everything from parking and registration to the clear course markings and well-stocked aid stations was spot on.
The course itself was scenic and peaceful... and a little bit challenging! The atmosphere throughout the day was friendly and supportive — it felt like a real community event where every runner, whether doing a 5K, marathon or ultra-marathon, was encouraged and celebrated.
The volunteers and organisers were outstanding — always smiling, cheering us on, and making sure everything ran smoothly. The medal and goodies at the finish were a lovely bonus too!
If you’re looking for a relaxed but well-run event with a great vibe, I’d absolutely recommend The Other Run and any Zig Zag Running event. I’ll definitely be back!

Good starting point, on our campsite
Giving the turn of the heat of the weather, maybe an aid station at the 5k turn point for both the 5k & 10kers. It was horrifically hot. We bought 2 cups from you but were unable to use them.
Loved the event though.
Naomi Brown
Excellent event, very friendly atmosphere
Loved this event the course had lovely scenic views, the organisers were friendly as were the participants. Loved that there were free refreshments for runners at the end including cake. Would highly recommend and would attend again.

Well organised
For some reasons I was not aware how far apart the water stations were located. Marshals didn't know either and or not sure . But overall the signs arrows very clear to see and follow, a challenging route for sure but lovely country side . Running in some villages with traffic was not ideal . I would probably try a trail one if any next time . Thanks for organising this event , first time with you.
