The Wensum Way Trail

With start times for all distances at 9AM (6-hour event) and 11AM (4-hour event), you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the stunning route, push your limits, and, of course, earn your race bling! Once you cross the finish line, reward yourself with a complimentary coffee and cake while soaking in the atmosphere.

An aid station will be conveniently located at base camp, so there's no need to carry excess food or water—just focus on your run and enjoy the journey!

Route description:
5.3 km (3.3 mi) · out-and-back · all trail (off-road) · just 9 m of climb · high 26 m / low 19 m

The flattest route of all the trail routes at a mere 9 m of climb. It's an all-off-road out-and-back weaving between the lakes and along the river on flat waterside paths. About as fast and gentle as running gets: no hills, soft scenery, turn at halfway and cruise back. A dream for a flat 5k PB or an easy first race.

A heavy half marathon as standard will be 5 laps (but there is the option to change this on the day to 6 or 7).  An ultra marathon as standard will be 9 laps (but there is the option to increase this, according to time available e.g. upto 12 laps)

• Parking is included in your race entry—no extra hassle.
• All finishers will receive a bespoke medal for the event. Opt for the Lucky Dip option (if available), and you can choose from a selection of previous medals.
• The course is a trail run, featuring a mix of tarmac paths, grasslands, and rugged trails—perfect for those who love a bit of variety!  The event encompasses the "Wensum Way" within the park.

Important Race Reminder:

THIS EVENT IS CUPLESS – Please bring your own cups or bottles for refilling at the aid station to help reduce waste and support eco-friendly running!
