Back for its 2nd Year - Thetford Festival of Running

Come and join us at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF

At our Festival of Running, you will join like-minded runners doing different distances. Options include 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or Ultra Marathon.

There is a six-hour event cut off, (if you start at 9am, and 4hour event cut off if you start at 11am) .  All distances will start together.  

Route description:
5.4 km (3.4 mi) · loop · all trail (99% off-road) · just 12 m of climb · high 58 m / low 46 m.

A flat, fast forest loop through Thetford Forest — almost entirely on the woodland trails and tracks, with barely any climb to speak of (12 m over the whole lap). Gentle, friendly underfoot and quick: this is the one-lap forest 5k, and being a lap it stacks up neatly for the longer distances (two laps for 10k, and so on).
The route encompasses a 5.3km loop within the grounds of Thetford Forest. 

You may be completing your first official 5k,10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or even ultra-Marathon, or it may be your 100th or 1000th, the location is pretty self-contained, making this an intimate event with us having exclusive use of the main area and have plenty of open space.

A heavy half marathon as standard will be 5 laps (but there is the option to change this on the day to 6 or 7).  An ultra marathon as standard will be 9 laps (but there is the option to increase this, according to time available e.g. upto 12 laps)

There will be a water, aid station located at the lap point so no stress of having to carry lots of food, water or equipment.

Parking on the day will be discounted to £5 for participants with a QR code  

We will be based adjacent to Oak Lodge and will be utilising Oak Lodge for registration and for the provision of your complimentary teas, coffee and cake on completion.

There will be a Bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race.   Or if you choose the lucky dip option (if an available option), you will choose from a selection of previous medals.

PLEASE NOTE THE EVENT IS CUPLESS - SO please bring cups and bottles for refreshment refilling
