This routes takes in the village of Ousden which is known as the Valley of the Owls in Suffolk, with some of the oldest roads in England and very beautiful countryside
Come and join us at our exclusive venue at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX
We will be utilising the Dalham Kiln route which is a Half marathon Loop
Those doing the 5k and 10k will be doing the Denham Flats Route
Route description - Dalham Kiln
21.4 km (13.3 mi) · **loop** from the campsite · **88% road / 12% trail** · 191 m of climb · high 123 m / low 49 m.
Route description - Denham Flats
10.4 km (6.5 mi) · out-and-back from the campsite · 100% road · just 22 m of climb · high 107 m / low 89 m.
Comfortably the **flattest route out from the Suffolk Running Centre..** You head out on quiet lanes to a turnaround at around 5.2 km, then retrace your steps home. There's the gentlest of rises on the way out — barely noticeable, spread over the whole leg — which means it tips very slightly downhill on the way back. No hills, no surprises, no gradient to fight.
A GPX file can be downloaded from the "course" tab.
It's a seven-hour cut off, with a mass start at 9am.
Your race, your pace, your distance!
This race offers you a number of distance choices - 5k, 10k, Half, Full or Ultra
Those doing under a half marathon distance will travel along an out and back, being turned around required, making it a very social route.
The half marathon will be one loop, 2 loops for the full marathon and then the run to the 5k turnaround point for an ultra.
There will be an aid station of drinks and nibbles every 10k.
Parking is also included in your entry price.
The Race HQ/Base Camp is located at the start and Lap point and at the base camp we will have our water/aid station.
We have designed a Bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race. Or if you choose the lucky dip finisher option (if available), you will choose from a selection of previous or finisher medal.
Please note the event has gone cupless - so please bring your own bottles or cups for refilling.
Please note only bone conductor headphones are allowed.
No dogs or buggies are allowed on this route due to the roads being open for traffic.
