Great first marathon!
This was my first marathon. The event organisation was fantastic, there weren't really any questions left unanswered before the event which made me feel comfortable. Scenery was lovely, the route was tough but still great.
My only bits of constructive feedback, is that I would have liked a marshall for the first loop at every proper change of road, I missed one arrow on a dark hill where my head was down due to the hill, and I ran an extra 0.8 miles as a result.
I also missed the half way snack point because lots of people who had finished the half marathon were crowding where I assume it was. I would have liked that to have been separate and more obvious. I didn't get a snack between 6 miles and 19 miles.
Overall, it was amazing though and I would still recommend it.

Fantastic socialble but challenging
Catherine Kearns
Took a little longer to get parked up but great to see such a big turnout. Really beautiful course and lovely range of vegan treats at the finish.
Paul French
My first marathon and it was a good one. Friendly marshals, challenging route, good choice of snacks at the feed station. Not closed roads but the roads were very quiet anyway so not a problem. I’d do it again.
Darren Wright
Great event as usual
Rob Ling
Very good & scenic run
Could have some more arrows for the 2nd half of the route to make it clearer (5 & 10k), but still stayed on the correct route!
David Maclean
Well organized, scenic, challenging, very enjoyable half marathon.

Steve/Zoe and team - as usual put together an excellent experience. It was quite a crowd at the start testimony to the hardwork and growth of Zig Zag running . Beautiful course. Well organized.

Well run event
My first marathon! Very well marked amd easy to follow. Well placed aid station. Tough route with some inclines and beautiful views made it very interesting. Easy parking close to the start plus a bag drop right near the start/finish point. Friendly support staff/marshals.

Really lovely
Race director and community genuinely check to make sure your OK, Marshalls call you by name as they tick you off on the route, well stocked stations with great variety.
Route has some long hills towards the end but great for training and digging in. Might be nice to reverse the course.
Thank you Everyone!

Great atmosphere as always
A challenging route and I think the off road section just added to the charm. Made it that little bit tougher
Brian Griffiths
A great run, well supported
A well marked route, with a well placed aid station at 10k. The coffee and cake at the end was really welcome. I took advantage of the massage from Nicky which was excellent
Richard Garrard
A well organized event, great marshals throughout. There was good support from spectators and a fantastic Lemon Drizzle cake at the end!

Road & Trail
Zig Zag know how to host an event. Easy to find, on site parking, straight forward registration and number collection. Mix of road & trail. Where there is a downhill, you will always get an uphill, but it did seem to be a course with all the uphill saved for the last 1/3. Very scenic route with picture postcard cottages & pretty villages and plenty of fields allowing you to see for miles. Well done everyone.
Paul Forshaw
Excellent event as usual

AMAZING
Absolutely loved this run. Tough and technical, but fine if you aren’t chasing a time. The lovely ladies at the finish sorted me out with food and a massage. Well marked route and nice support, especially during the first lap.

A very good event.
Well organized and very easy to register. The course was quite hilly. Coffee and cake at the end was most welcome.

Love a Zigzag event!
A lovely, friendly, low key event which has something for every runner. The second half of the Valley of the Owls is a bit more challenging, the course is undulating.
Super well organised as always.
Thank you Zigzag.
